Since its founding in 2015, Metalot has taken an independent role to help scale the technology from small experiments to what is visible today. We are proud to see the continuously growing number of players in the ecosystem, the many global studies and the emergence of a whole new market. At the same time, we realize that there are still many challenges ahead of us. That is why we are more convinced than ever to make the Metal Power Community stronger and more extensive. All aimed at creating and/or integrating metals as an energy carrier into the market and value chains.
1. Technology readiness level push | Hard skill
Stimulate the development of individual components
2. (Inter)national collaborations
Facilitate collaborations on all levels to enable worldwide application
3. Community building
Create a community with a diversity of participants to form a collective voice towards the world
4. Societal readiness level push | Soft skill
Create conditions to embed the innovation in society
1. Fieldlabs
Facilitating and making lab space available to research institutions and participants in the ecosystem to enable experiments and further development of applications aimed at scaling up to a maximum of TRL 5
2. Livinglabs
Bringing together and showcasing the capabilities of the technology the ecosystem can offer in real world conditions. For example: the HOLON concept focusses on the smallest possible scale full cycle application
3. Regulations
Ensure that legislation and regulations become receptive to metals as sustainable energy carriers
4. Funding
Maintain an ecosystem roadmap and compile projects and consortia for execution
5. R&D
Provide feedback to R&D institutions through input from end users, policymakers and the ecosystem
6. Human Capital Agenda
Through our strong connection with education and industry, we create a learning environment for all levels of education to work on the technology of tomorrow
By combining our formula with the common goal, Metalot positions itself precisely in its role.
